I recently stayed at the Wherry Hotel in Lowestoft, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is absolutely stunning, right on the edge of Oulton Broad, offering beautiful waterside views and a peaceful atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The bed was cosy, and the amenities, including free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee-making facilities, were a nice touch. The restaurant and bar area were equally impressive. The food was delicious, i opted for the mixed grill, which was well-prepared and great value for money. Breakfast was generous, with plenty of options to choose from. The service was friendly. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. From check-in to check-out, they made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, the Wherry Hotel is a great choice for a relaxing getaway. Whether you're visiting for a weekend break or just stopping by for a meal, it’s a charming spot with excellent views, good food, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning!

We came here just to try the carvery as recommended by friends. Not disappointed. I recommend you try it. The carrots roasted in maple syrup are to die for 😋😋😋❤️

The meat on the carvery was finaly served after 1 guy shuffled around filling the trays and serving up the meat . A pitiful amount of meat child size portion. The mash was tasteless the veg was soft . Roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and frozen peas were ok. Don't know who reviewed this establishment but obviously they have no knowledge of good food , similar to the wherry then

I'm doing business in the area and have been staying at the Wherry. What a great place and a real asset to Oulton. I cant think of anything to complain about. Nice rooms. Always centrally heated and warm. Lovely bar restaurant with daily carvery. Sue in reception is lovely and very hard working and the rest of the staff. Well done.

I usually visit the Wherry for a carvery once a week. I am on my own and have some mobility issues. I always enjoy the meal, it is fresh and nicely presented. There is a nice atmosphere there too. I have been impressed by how friendly the staff have been. Always welcoming and helpful. I would like management to know just how impressed I have been with one young man in particular, I believe his name is Reece. Although he doesn’t know me personally, he is always pleasant and polite, he has excellent people skills and nothing is too much trouble for him regarding the attention to detail for customers. I have been impressed with the manner in which he tried to ensure that I was dealt with in a professional capacity. Reece made sure that I was seated appropriately, and had everything I required. He checked halfway through my meal to see if I was enjoying my food and if he could get me anything further. He was polite and not intrusive. Reece is one of the reasons why I will keep returning to the Wherry, he is welcoming and professional for such a young man. I do hope that the management and company will take the time to acknowledge the good comments with Reece.

Excellent service from the minute we arrived. We were lucky enough to be invited to a “Ladies Night”Friday night with over 180 guests. The service from the start was fantastic with a warm welcome, here to help attitude from all the staff and everybody seemed really happy to serve us. Such a refreshing change to see a team that are enjoying their work.! Plenty of staff behind the bar which you hardly ever see all very keen to serve, the food service for the dinner was excellent, very well delivered, and the food was hot! and really tasty 5 out of 5 for quality and service. There was a live band throughout the event who again were really good and certainly enhance the evening with lots of people getting up and dancing and enjoying the sounds. Got chatting to Luke the General Manager who clearly is passionate about the hotel and demands high standards, and was keen to tell me about the forthcoming refurbishment which everyone is looking forward to. Thanks for an amazing evening. Keep the good work up and we will be back.! 21/2/25 Peter Thompson-Hardy

We had our wedding at the hotel it was absolutely amazing and we can't fault the service and the staff was terrific and went out their way to cater to all our needs. Went and had the Wherry breakfast this morning, hotel looks very dated, breakfast was cold and rubbery, I would describe as school dinner wouldn’t go a second time

We went for a meal at the wherry yesterday lunchtime. We as if I could possibly have a calvery but with my veg boiled instead of steamed . The manager went and asked the chefs but was told they can't do that because they steamed there veg . We were very disappointed to hear this as I need to stick to a low potassium diet. We will have to try somewhere else next time. They did ask if we had dietary requirements so we told about mu low potassium diet but still didn't do that for me. They just said don't boil veg they steam it. But all restaurants should cater for anyone.

Great food, really friendly staff. Love visiting the Wherry hotel! - been to a lot of their events and they are always busy and great value for money. Really would recommend the Wherry for both dining and entertainment purposes!

Came in for a meal for a party of 7 for a friends birthday. We ordered from both the main menu and the carvery, the food was absolutely amazing and the service was just as good. A big thank you to Kerryn, Rob and Hannah for amazing service as always even when they were very busy!

Lovely Hotel situated overlooking the lake, The staff are very friendly and efficient. My wife and I were made very welcome and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Não fiquei no hotel, mas sim frequentei o restaurante. O atendimento foi excelente, fish and ships delicioso, ambiente bonito, bem organizado, tinha até banheiro coisa que é impossivel encontrar em lowestoft e ainda com trocador para bebês, quando voltar a Inglaterra irei visitá-lo novamente.
